Road Trip: Northern California, Part I

Last Monday, on a whim, a friend and I decided to escape the heat and drive up to the tiny coastal town of Mendocino, located three hours north of San Francisco.  We booked a cabin (via Airbnb) a couple miles north of town, neatly nestled in the redwood forest.

Our simple plan of action: enjoy the adventure, technology and itinerary-free.

And that we did.  As the days passed, the trip shifted from a lively adventure to a restful retreat.  I spent countless hours curled up with a cup of French press, pondering and plotting the course for the next year. All the while, I was taking in the tunes from my copilot who passed the time recording and reworking her music.
