Go Go Gourmet

Last Friday I had the privilege of working with my dear friends from Child S.H.A.R.E. for their first annual Go Go Gourmet fundraising event. Harnessing the momentum of the gourmet food truck movement, Child S.H.A.R.E. rounded up four of the finest food truck foodies in the Orange County and LA area. From chili dogs to crepes and tapas to tzatziki fries, those in attendance sampled savory servings of each chef's signature dishes. What goes best with fine food and beverage? Entertainment, of course. As the evening came to a close, folks danced to DJ Dubgypsy's tunes, witnessed some fine flamenco dancing, and were dazzled by Broadway Brian (see below). Make sure to mark your calendars for next year's event, as this year's was a complete success!

Child S.H.A.R.E. exists to offer hope and wholeness and to work toward healing, empowerment and justice for foster children by equipping families, individuals, volunteers and faith communities to provide and support foster and adoptive homes. To date, Child S.H.A.R.E. has successfully recruited over 900 families to provide foster homes, providing stability to over 2,700 children. Child S.H.A.R.E. families adopt children placed with them at over twice the national adoption rate and Child S.H.A.R.E. families are consistently honored, featured and recognized throughout the country as models of healthy foster parenting.
