Sitting for an hour to watch the sunset, you begin to experience and appreciate the pace of the Grecian lifestyle. Older men relax outdoors, families congregate on their balconies, children's voices dance upon the evening breeze. Sunset for us is more like sunrise for the Greeks. At this time, the city begins to stir again. People start to come out of hiding from the heat of the day to enjoy the fresh air. Cafes come alive as friends rendezvous for a pre-dinner coffee that can last hours. The siesta is over; the city is waking. But as always, there seems to be no rush to go anywhere, no pressure of to-do lists. There is only the precept to take things slow and enjoy the beauty that surrounds them.
